It enables trained Tunog at Pantig Quality Assurance Initiative (TPQAI) teachers, home-based tutors, online educators and tutorial centers to teach both Filipino and English using one child-centered method rooted in Montessori-inspired preparation, Vygotsky-inspired scaffolding, Steiner-inspired story and imagination, and systematic multisensory sound-based teaching.
The pathway begins with real experience and oral language before moving into sounds, symbols, syllables, words, sentences, reading and writing.
For Filipino, the child moves from familiar oral language to tunog, simbolo, pantig, salita, parirala, pangungusap, pagbasa and pagsulat.
For English, the child moves from listening and speaking to letter sounds, blending, segmenting, tricky words, simple words, phrases, sentences, reading and writing.
The program uses one integrated education philosophy while clearly distinguishing Filipino and English literacy structures.
Begins with real experiences, Practical Life, Sensorial Development, spoken language, tactile symbols, movable composition and reading with meaning.
